Dear Driver,
I want to share my story with you. Please take the time to read and understand what trucking means to me.
My name is Michael Barr. I can gladly say with pride I am living my childhood dream now. It was always my goal to become a trucking business owner and I never wanted to be anything else. I have been in the trucking industry since I graduated college. Over time, I worked my way up the ladder. In 2012, I became the co-owner of JM Bozeman. This was just the start to a great success story.
By the end of 2016, I became the sole owner of JMB. The fleet expanded from 65 to 200 trucks in a matter of a few years. There are over 200 drivers and about 50 office employees, including mechanics here today. JM Bozeman originally started in 1992.
It was understood since the time I was an early teenager that trucking was what I really wanted to do. It is my passion. The biggest thing for me was the lure and fascination of moving large quantity and weight from one part of the country to the other. Planes, trains, and automobiles.
Moving forward in life, I almost quit college between my sophomore and junior year to become a truck driver. I called the recruiters at JB Hunt. They had a CDL school and I had grown tired of classrooms and college. I laugh to myself recalling this.
Boy, I did not know what I was thinking at the time. My father threw a fit when he heard the news and talked me out of it. Without giving up my hopes of trucking, I began to research trucking companies my junior year of college, trying to figure out how to get an interview. Arkansas was a hot commodity for the trucking industry. I was offered a job at American Freightways. It was the best company to work for at the time, in my opinion. I started on the LTL side as a management trainee. I received my CDL and learned how to drive. The rest is history.
Due to my background in trucking, I believe I know what is best for a driver to succeed at a company. I have instilled all my morals and values into JM Bozeman and would love for you to join and see what it is all about. It is not everyday you find as unique of a company as JM Bozeman Enterprises!

Running Area
We DO NOT not run to California, New York, New Jersey. Our lanes run in the highlighted states. We also allow drivers to take their equipment home with them.
We allow personal conveyance driving, as needed. We do not want anything stopping you from getting home to your loved ones!

Drivers Lounge on the Yard
We understand the importance of being away from home, friends, and family. On our yard, we have a top of the line Drivers Lounge with a gated pet play yard attached. The lounge includes a kitchen, vending machines, recliners, desk area, showers and bathrooms, laundry room and pet kennels.
JM Bozeman is very pet friendly. We also have a truck swap station on the yard to make it easier for when it comes time to trade. There is a DEF Tank on yard, as well.
