At JM Bozeman, we believe that our people are our greatest asset. Our team consists of nearly 300 dedicated employees, including skilled drivers.
At JM Bozeman Enterprises, our mission is simple: deliver freight safely, on time, and with integrity. Backed by decades of experience and a team of dedicated professionals, we’re committed to providing the highest standard of service—whether you're shipping a single pallet or managing full truckload logistics nationwide.
JM Bozeman opened its doors as a true family-owned and operated business. With just two drivers, James and his brother. The company’s story began on the open road. Fueled by determination and grit, they set out to build something lasting, doing it the only way they knew how: the cowboy way.
In the early days, the JM Bozeman fleet looked a little different than the red-and-white trucks you know today. Back then, our trucks came in just about every color imaginable — earning the nickname “Skittle trucks” because they looked like a rainbow rolling down the highway.
The signature red-and-white paint scheme that defines our fleet today has its own legendary origin. While sitting at the dinner table with his truck salesman, James was asked what shade of red he wanted for the new trucks. Without hesitation, James grabbed a bottle of Heinz 57 ketchup and said, “This one.”
The rest, as they say, is history. 1997 also marked another milestone — the very first Peterbilt joined the JM Bozeman fleet, setting the stage for the company’s growth to come.
JM Bozeman expanded from a single trailer and truck shop as an office to a 2-shop facility with separate offices for each department. With just a small but dedicated team, we moved into our new home base, where grit and family values fueled every mile. Today, we’re proud to still operate from that very same office, a reminder of how far we’ve come.
In 2006, JM Bozeman expanded its services into cattle hauling, a natural fit for the cowboy spirit that’s always been at the heart of our company. One of the very first trucks used for cattle hauling back then is still part of our fleet today..
What makes it even more special is who’s behind the wheel now: Michael's son, Casey, continuing both the family tradition and the cattle-hauling legacy.
Nearly two decades later, that same truck is still hauling cattle, just as it did on day one.
By 2012, JM Bozeman had grown from a handful of trucks to a fleet of nearly 70. That same year, James partnered with Michael Barr. A move that launched the company into its next chapter of success.
Together, this dynamic duo built on Bozeman’s strong foundation, driving the business forward with vision, hard work, and a handshake you could count on.
More than three decades after James first hit the road, JM Bozeman has grown into a fleet of over 200 trucks serving customers nationwide. Yet the foundation remains unchanged—James continues to play an active role in the company, ensuring the same dedication and values that started it all.
From one truck and a dream to a fleet of hundreds, the spirit of JM Bozeman still rides strong.
Our story isn’t finished — it’s still being written, mile after mile
